I think it's the 9 million hours of TV coverage they have to fill. I've tried to watch a few times, but it's been tough. The Mustang modified to be a lawnmower, being bid up to $7000, the suspense of seeing if it would make $7500 was just too much for me to handle

Maybe the good stuff will come later. Seeing garden variety, partially modified '70s American cars going one after another for $18,000 is pretty boring.

Interesting how many HERE seem to despise/dismiss/make fun of this 'Theater of Automotive Farce' ...then proceed to provide sooooo many details of the goings on???

Amusing.

After reading about the shenanigans that goes on w/ their auctions I'll never even watch it on TV....let alone attend again.

am I missing something? I watch it and enjoy looking at the cars in detail, wish I had the money OR even more the time to restore a car like some of them myself.

They could have gotten more for it with Craig Jackson in it's jaws.

The best was the '88 Dodge Diplomat CHP police car that went for $27k. I don't even think it had Corinthian leather!

C'mon, you can only look at so many Chargers, Camaros, and 'Cudas. Throw in some variety and I might watch.

I'm waiting for the Gravedigger monster truck to go up for auction... been saving up my nickles and dimes.

You may call me a dreamer... but I'm not the only one...
