Mother Is At Me Again

Ever since I brought that painting home and I told her it was worth all that money, Mother has been laughing at me. She says that I "have exurberant delusions of grandeur." I reply that for $1.50 I can be as delusional as I want, cause whatever I get is virutually all pure profit. Even if it isn't 20K of profit and only a coupla hundred or so. Guess my 911 is going to have to sit awhile longer though.

if it's an original 'dogs playing poker' on velvet, it could be worth as much as $4.00
more that doubling you initial investment - not bad

Put some air in that left rear, then go find some one to restore it for you.

You are an inspiration to us all!

Does Mother preach 'square-breathing'?

Good for hyperventilation.

And then you talk to the "experts" on it and you get no where. If there is one thing i've learned from my own personal art experiences is that the art world has a snobbery that is unparalleled to anything else. Good luck trying to break that barrier.

Tabs, good luck with your painting.

I know there's a "Whistler's Mother" but is there a "Tabs' Mother"? Maybe done by. . . I dunno. . . H.R. Geiger or someone?

Mother used to pose for Picasso and he painted her just the way she was.

It will be ok Norman... just take some time to relax, and maybe turn the hotel sign off for a few days so no one stops in.

You and mother will get it worked out. Just like you always do.
