Got a new set of Yoko's and brakes getting put on this coming Monday in anticipation of the Weekend with Bill. Might just as well trash what is let of the current skins. I left enough of them up on Jay's road last Saturday!

And I have to wonder how they count curves on the Dragon? I am not sure you could pack any more curves per mile into Jay's road (just look at the vids in the other place). Just what constitutes a curve? I count it as any time I have to turn the wheel in the opposite direction. So a 180 curve is one curve. Is the Dragon counting a 180 as two curves of 90 degrees? That is the only way I can see them getting that curve per mile count. If so, the unoffical count for Jay's road may be significantly understated. Someone with a better mind for this stuff than me can figure it out. I have an appointment with Captain Morgan.

Here is how I took that mount and used it in-car. Notice I have the mount arm touching the dash at its lowest point, that addressed any stability issues. The camera also has an intenal image stabilizer so the picture is turning out rock solid.

Any idea what that was? If I recall correctly, not available stateside.

Unless we hear from Aerkuld, and since I cook for crap, I will take on scotch duty. Do we have a preference? Needs to be available at SC retail. Don't be shy, pick your poison. A flock of Pelicans in the mountains is not a flock without some damn fine scotch.

For those wondering when the cars parked on the road are going to get creamed by traffic? There is none! This road is a driver's dream. We owned this road (~150 curves/~11 miles) for the weekend.

It was a great time!!! Not much room for error... there is very little gaurd rail, LOTS of steep shoulders, and a embankment that isnt very forgiving... other than that.... GREAT.... :D

Jay, look close, those 2 pics were probably taken within seconds of each other.

I walked back and watered a tree, then climbed up to look at a rock that turned out to be a grave site from the 1800's. Then I saw a great shot, took it, then looked over to see Duke doing the same across from me.

What is the plan for the July Devil's Backbone run?

Running the Backbone on Friday with the BBQ on Sat?

Is there a Sat run on the books planned (Duke, I am thinking maybe a re-run from the Wine & Cheese Chase) ;)

Do you need a place to stay Friday night?

Jan and I would love to host the two of you rather than see you in a local hotel. We have plenty of space for you and would love to show you the nightlife in Greenville prior to the Saturday festivities.

Paul, I am heading to my house in NC on Thurs night, Anyone that wants to crash there with me is welcome to come. PM me for the code to get in the front door as my arrival will be late.

As far as I know the Backbone run is happening on Friday, I am crashing at my house Friday night if anyone wants to head towards Pats Friday night they can or they are welcome to crash at my place again Friday night.

Then we are rising early Saturday, grabbing some breakfast and heading toward Pats on the backroads, we should be there mid morning.

Pat planned a run near his house on Saturday a similar route as last years.
