That looks awesome...is it less crowded than the Dragon? I was just reading up on the Dragon earlier this morning and was looking at the pics and such from last year's "Pelicans on the Dragon". If there is another one next year I plan on attending, since its only like 350 miles from me when I am at school. That is, as long as it would be alright if I wasn't in a p-car.

 | The above pic looks exactly like a section of Ski Mountain Rd where many years ago I nearly got smoked by a car when I went wide around a turn while racing my college buddies down 4 miles of pavement on mountain bikes. Stupid...but d@mn fun!

When the time and place are selected just post the coordinates on the site. We can feed into the GPS - don't tell where it is and we will let the GPS lead. Sort of a secret mission. BTW you missed a great day and show with BHT Jeremy.

The secret to these roads is to keep them secret. There are more great roads then just the tail of the dragon, but if you let it out, soon the roads are clogged with too many cars or too many po-po.

You have been telling me about these roads for years but we have yet to explore them together. My wife and I are talking about taking a quick trip down there soon to burn some steam and satisfy our traveling itch. Speedy

Yeah, but does it have a cool name like 'Dragon Tail' I have an exGF that could take that handle? Anyway, your pics look great, thanks. We also have many similar roads, none with cool names though?

While I had a great weekend I was thinking of you and wishing I could be in 2 places at once. It looks like a great place to shake down the 7. Great pics! Looks like fun. I am really getting the itch for a road trip, I need to get away and clear my head. I may force you to show me this road.

In some ways, that looks a little like the Angeles Crest Highway. We ride it on motorcycles, not Porsches, but my SC would do well there too. The one things that terrific about the Crest, is that it 56 miles from top to bottom, it takes 1-1/2 hrs. to get to Wrightwood, one can have lunch there, and when you're ready to go back down hill, the road is completey different than going up hill. Oh, and there is Newcomb's Ranch half way up, so if you want you can join hundreds of cycles there (only about 80 on a cold day), and have great omlettes or flap jacks, or whatever. It make the Dragon's Tail feel like premature ejaculation.

Hey Procon, Your pics are very good, will be hard to compete with those, but once all this snow is gone and we've got the Pcars back on the road, I'll get some photos posted for ya. I'm thinking photos from our "Salmon River Run", driving that stretch gives my wife car sickness. Cheers,

That reminds me of NC Rt 221(Blowing Rock Hwy) from Blowing Rock up to Newland, NC, about 20 miles of great Porsche road.
