Have You Written Off Huckabee?

As the title asks . . .

Seems to me, if he gets most of the former Romney "real conservative" vote, he could beat McCain in quite a number of states. Will Rush Limbaugh and the other far-rightists get behind Huckabee? He has done a good job campaigning on a shoestring so far, I have to think he's raising more money now. And McCain is not exactly raking it in, on the dollars front.

No. I certainly couldn't vote for any ticket he might be on.

I would vote for him... but I don't think he has a chance... too many people hate him because of his religion.

Did I just say that? In America?

McCain/Huck would be a decent ticket. At least tolerable. I like a lot of Huck's ideas, but the thought of handing an evangelical the reins of the top office scares me. As a #2 guy, hopefully his "good ideas" (and he does have several) will trickle up to McCain.

Not a bad strategy, IMHO.

McCain has a shot at my vote. But not if his running mate is Huckabee. Or Romney.

As soon as Chuck Norris showed up, he lost any credibility with me.

And yes, I'm fun and hip but why not do campaign posters with the Cheezburger cats or have the Chocolate Rain guy join you to show diversity? Internet phenomenon doesn't = successful president.

Have you calculated how favorable Huckabee's "FairTax" will be to you? I calculate it would save me a whole pile of money, while doing nothing (nothing good) for the median income ($50K) US family, and exploding the national debt. I would enjoy this happily for four years, while the country blows up around me. Then a sane tax system would be reinstated and I'd happily bank my gains. It should be enough to buy a nice pied-a-terre in Paris, or a nice spread in New Zealand. I'd even send Huckabee a thank-you note.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I wrote him off from the begining and I really don't believe McCain would choose him for a VP. Not from Arkansas and not named Huckabe, I don't care, it just won't fly. I am not a big fan of McCain but I will vote for him to keep the Clintons out of the White House. As old as he is, He will be lucky to live through four years so not much need to worry about him doing eight. I think in two years Newt will be on the trail. No matter who wins this one.

Its not possible for McCain to carry the south without Huckabee.

Why does someone have "to be" from somewhere before people will trust him. Hell, I'm from next to DC. I wouldn't trust anyone from here!

Let's face it guys...it's time for all true (as apposed to "neo") Conservatives to write this one off. But gee, remember Carter? Only four years? I trust Hillary!or Obama to do the same.

Its not that he is from "somewhere" its more he is "one of them". The Christian Right votes in HUGE numbers. The RNC knows this and they need the votes to counteract whats going to happen in the larger primarily liberal city's.

I never considered him because he doesn't come close to representing me or my interests.

Now, I'm not saying that McCain, Hillary or Obama really represent me either it's just that this guy as an evangelical Christian is further from it.
