Pretty sure my DD has 'judder'

Ok, I have been doing some research. I think my DD has judder at and above 70 mph. Though if I slow down to 65 mph the judder is way less. It feels as if this judder is coming from the front right wheel. Recently had a brake job. Maybe everything isn't tighten down all the way? Diagnosis? Loose lug nut? Unbalanced wheel? When I turn the wheel at speed to the left it starts shaking. Very odd feeling. Need y'alls help on this one please.

Don't worry, with proper meds, you'll clear up that judder in no time.

In jest, I was asking you exactly what the hell "judder" is. What is your DD? Details man, details.

I'd first check the wheel balance.

More details: 1997 Ford Tauras$ Floating rotors How do I check the wheel balance at the house? I have a pretty nifty set of tools availble, but definitely not a machine to balance a tire.

Start simple with the wheel balance. Also take a look at the tie rods, ball joints, etc. They can show their failure with vibrations at certain speeds. Wheel bearings tend to be a constant noise or vibration that increases with speed.

Just replaced the cv on that side and lower ball joint. I don't hear any noise, when I open that windows. I need new tires anyways so I might as well just go get new tires and the wheel balanced. While they are at it I'll check the bushings and bolts.

My wife's DDs have a lot of Judder. Never once have I thought of fixin them. I don't think loose nuts have anything to do with it either. As for your Taurus, I don't know anything about them other than my grandmother once had a white wagon. Sorry.

I use to do a lot of interstate traveling between Louisiana and Texas. Never felt this kind of judder before until after the brake job.

They could have easily knocked one of the wheel weights off when removing the wheels for the brake job.

Seriously this time. Recently had my tires rotated on my Jeep. As a matter of course they balanced them before the rotation. Driving home had a terrible judder from 50-55 then would settle out some. Went back to to the tire place and had them check the fronts. Sure enough, had a weight come off. At least that is what they said. I have the feeling they did a crap job of balancing the wheel and paid a little more attention the second time.
