Tough choice Joe Bob - two favourites of mine also - but I'm going with the P-51 (D version - Merlin engined) for speed although the P-38 could carry 2 - 1000 lb. bombs & it's guns being concentrated in its nose meant pilots could shoot from further away. I'd take a joy-ride in either one if I had the chance. That's my half-a$$ed answer. Cheers JB |
