Well I was going to reply to this and ask if it was really F150 based, I was going to add the tag line 'paging Curt Egerer' then I looked at who posted it and realized I was stupid to question you.

I was thinking of the Mustang that Mike Hurst used to run which is a different one. Any more details on the car you posted?

This one is still a Fox body underneath.
Eek, why doesn't Pelican automatically re-size images like every other forum?

Giving Your Fleet an Aerodynamic Advantage
https://www.fleetio.com/blog/giving-your-fleet-an-aerodynamic-advantage

Quote:
You can already see the widespread advancement of aerodynamics by major manufacturers. New models by Ford, GM, and Volvo are sporting thoughtfully designed features like front grill shutters, streamlined mirror covers and enhanced ground effects.

For tractor trailers, there are a number of add-ons that can make the rig slicker going down the road. These include side skirts, rear covers and fairings - all having the objective of keeping the air flow as laminar (non-turbulent) as possible. You will see a lot of focus on decreasing wheel exposure, as spinning air surrounding them creates a profile much larger frontal area than the tire size implies.

World’s Most Aerodynamic Production Car Teased, V177 A-Class Sedan Incoming

Quote:
Even though the Volkswagen XL1 has a drag coefficient of 0.19, it isn’t considered the most aerodynamic production car in the world because only 250 examples were ever made. Series production is on a different level altogether, and in regard to that, Mercedes-Benz did it again with the A-Class Sedan. Codenamed V177, the newcomer has been leaked ahead of the debut of the China-only A-Class L Sedan......................

With a drag coefficient of 0.22 and frontal area of 2.19 square meters, the newcomer defends the aerodynamic record of the CLA Coupe.

My friend's new winter beater

Bit of an ugly duckling, conceived by Malcolm Bricklin and Richard Hatfield (NB Premier) and built up here in Canada in the 70's. I remember them well and never
wanted one. My friend, it seems likes the oddity of it all.

That's cool, I didn't know that. I recently took delivery of the hatch version under the company lease scheme. It's my first brand new car! I though the glass dash was a gimmick but it works pretty well. The AMG line trim has a nice aero feature in front of the front wheels.
