This is a replica of the HN4 hydrofoil which was running 100 years ago.



Alexander Graham Bell didn't operate the hydrofoil because he was afraid of hearing loss from the two aero engines. His wife, Mabel was deaf so she had no such worries. There is a great shot of Bell standing on the dock as his wife goes roaring off in the craft.

60 years ago Volvos were assembled in Halifax, NS. Production started with the Canadian (called Amazon everywhere else) and ended with the 240s.



My class got a tour of the assembly plant in '72. Watching the newly bolted together cars being driven off the end of the line onto a set of rollers and immediately run up through the gears made a heck of an impression on a car crazy kid.
