US seeks Death Penalty for ALLEGED 9/11 planner

Why are we SEEKING ANYTHING? Khalid Sheikh Mohammed has admitted that he planned every aspect of the 9/11 attack. SEEK? SEEK???
No, we put him in front of a military firing squad, (they claim it's a war not us), and we shoot him.
But wait... you say we are a more civilized country than that? We have a kinder, gentler machine gun hand? Uh.... maybe that's why 3,000 American were killed September 11, 2001.
My grandfather, 30 years ago, thought we needed public executions to curb violent crime. I'm sure glad he isn't around to see us now, SEEKING the death penalty for someone that admits to killing 3,000 Americans. That's just F'ing great.

Agree and after they milked all the intel from him he should have been shot and buried face down in an unmarked grave somewhere.

Video of the firing squad and burial should be posted on the internet as a warning to terrorists who wish to follow in his footsteps. People who feel that this is harsh should remember that the video of the 9/11 attacks are around us daily.

I need to investigate more but who exactly are we seeking from? Our own goverment? If so who are they? I'm all for due process, for Americans, not terrorists that say they are at war.

That would be nice too, but it's impossible in our system. The longer they are alive, the more likely they'd go free on a legal challenge. They need to die painfully and we should kill their families first for them to see.

I wouldn't sign up- its not something to revel in... (I'm not being high and mighty towards you, I just think to ENJOY it would be a sign of something bad within you)

That being said, if he openly admits to planning the 9/11 attacks, he should be shot and killed. Immediately. with no fanfare one way or the other.

right after 9/11 someone came up with the best/almost poetic punishment. give any captured al queda member a sex change and a lobotomy. then dump them naked back in the middle east.

Killing him is giving them what they want. They think there is life after death, and once they die they are martared, and go to a paradise with a bunch of virgins etc.

I say throw him in a dark hole for the rest of his life, and put him on permanent suicide watch. I think that would have more of an impression on the terrorists.

9/11 hasn't completely been milked dry with respect to how much political mileage there is to get out of it and how much $$$ there is to redirect to lawyer friends of the administration.
