O.T. Kimbo vs. Tank 10pm tonight

Ok Mixed Martial Art fans, who will it be?-The mighty Kimbo Slice, or the bar brawler Tank?Last time I posted on this subject it was Kimbo vs. Ray Mercer. Everyone said Ray was going to destroy Kimbo, but I had faith. As you know Ray got choked out under two minutes.I would give this fight to Tank a decade ago, but he is a bit long in the tooth now.He has lost the last 7 of 8 fights, the "tank"-pun intended-is running low.Any other views on this most excellent battle?

A bit after the fact, but I'll go with Kimbo every time, at least until he fights someone who knows how to move his head. Kimbo is just too hard-punching and accurate for anyone without real boxing skill. Unlikely that we will see that match anytime soon...too many paydays for punching out tomato-cans and has-beens.

Here's my guy.

You've got me I admit that Darth Fedor would destroy Kimbo.Fedor has ground skills, can punch with the best, hard to beat that combination.

I quit watching these fights a while ago. They always wind up on the ground and I'd rather watch NCAA wrestling for that.

Yeah, but when Kimbo fights, there's only ONE guy on the ground.

Wow!!!! That was crazy!! I'd love to say it was fixed, but Kimbo's pride and ego would never allow him to do it.It was a straight azz whupping.Oh well , I guess it's time for him to try Miami backyards again.Fedor could drink a gallon of vodka and still destroy him I'm not a fair weather fan, I still admire the guy for his bare knuckle adventures.

My personal all time favorite example of someone to avoid at all cost is Aleksandr Karlin. Only 6'3.5" at 296 pounds he is not all that big. None the less, humorist Dave Berry once referred to him as "the head bouncer at the toughest bar in Hell" and I contend that Kimbo would have simply crumpled under the crush of Karlin had they ever met in a ring of any kind........

He stills stays in shape by running through snowbanks while carrying armloads of firewood. A.K. weighted 15 pounds 3 ounces at birth and once ruled heavyweight Greco-Roman Wrestling before retiring, going undefeated for 10 straight years..........

Yep Doc, that guy is THE definition of MONSTER.It would be very interesting to see him in MMA.Even though the guy is in his 40's, I'm sure his conditioning and focus match others half his age.

Well,

What I liked about this was that although Kimbo is an outstanding brawler, and probably has bone mass double you and I, which gives him the ability to withstand horrific blows...

There is still validation that a trained, elite fighter can still come in and whoop his a**! Otherwise, why train and excel at this chosen profession?

That's because submissions are -so- effective. This is the reason why a fighter with no Sambo or Jiu Jitsu background will NEVER be champ.

Allow me to introduce you to the fighting god:

How long will it be before Don King and/or Joe Duva get involved and ruin MMA?

Yep, money is a double edged sword. It helps the sport grow, but it's offspring greed will ruin it.It's best to enjoy a sport before it gets too big.Kinda like watching your favorite artist(Rolling Stones, etc) in a small venue before they graduate to the arena's.
