I have 1700 albums, and 1,100 CD's. I'm surprised I only have 47 out of the top 100 albums according to that Rolling Stone list.

It's a good day, learned something new. What do you mean, 'fast food for the ears'?

stuartJ good call. When I die I'm going to have 2 or 3 songs off that album played at my funeral. Don't you wonder what he might have done?

Actually, almost any of Dylan's early album's could be picked but I personally like "The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan" or "Desire." Or maybe "Time out of Mind" of his newer stuff.

If course, kinda difficult not to pick his album (Highway 61 Revisited) that included what is regarded as the best single of all time!

Yes, I do. But on the other hand, some lights burn intensley and not for long. You see flashes and elements of this monumental talent in all the the posthumous material, but it all just aligned on Grace to leave something approaching perfection - IMHO.

That's a good comment. My top 3 songs for my funeral would be:

Knocking on Heaven's Door.
Senor.
Trying to get to Heaven before They Close the Door.

I took the bus downtown on my 15th birthday in May of '74 and bought SW's "Innervisions" + a yellow disco shirt. I remember it as the first record I bought with my own $$. (Parents bought all the albums before that, often for themselves).

Great minds think alike, most of the time anyways my brother. :)
