So. Cal. sucks!
With temps in the low 70's & 15-20 knot winds blowing, how are we supposed to get the girls topside in their bathing suits while sailing?? You guys in Hawaii & south Florida have it made with the good weather! I can't wait for summer to finally get here!
We had been talking about it for awhile now, but I finally got the boys out sailing yesterday! Scott (450KnottOffice) and his wife Dawn, Richard (Motion) and Lily, my girl Sandra and myself went for a day sail out of Long Beach. Our boat, 4th from the left. Queen Mary on the right, dwarfed by a Carnival Cruise ship.  Our boat "Charasmatic" a 42' Catalina with the gang onboard.  Clockwise from left: Scott, Dawn, Sandra, Lily, and Richard.  Richard & Lily  Scott at the helm... Always the pilot!   The Skipper (ME!) and his Mate.

 To be perfectly honest though Dave, I'm a COLD beer fan, especially when someone else is buying!

You were very close to where I live - in fact I go running by that section of the marina just about every day. Very cool.

Patrick, THANK YOU for the awesome day! We had a great time learning the subtleties of sailing from Captain Pat and gabbing with his lovely mate, Sandra and Scott & Dawn. Nice day!

But, am I to understand that you Cali boyz are complaining about the weather ??!!?? You should spend a couple of weeks in Sweden in February. That will calibrate your weather - judgment scale!

It was "only 82" on Sunday here. The margarita's tasted terrible sitting by the pool in the sun...
