Cool video. I'd love to know what kind of drivetrain that thing has. Sounded supercharged to me - definitely not a stock 914.

I didn't see any real competition. All I saw was a bunch of taildraggers and waterpumpers.

No supercharger, the whining you hear is the ring and pinion. That car is pretty tricked out. Havent seen it in a few years though.

yes.

2.8 on Webers.

Somehow I don't see my replacement 2.7 being like that.

Reminds me of a motorcycle 'splitting' lanes during stop and go traffic.

That was just a 2.8?

Damn.

I was either thinking forced induction of some sort, or possibly a very large 911 engine (3.6L or thereabouts).

The way he walks those guys on the STRAIGHTS is impressive. I expected a handling advantage on the curves, but he flat out pwnz them on the entire track.

That car obviously should not be in that class. It would be fun to race with that kind of "mechanical advantage" though

Amazing, but someone should inform him that his front lid is about to set sail.

He chose to start at the back of the field instead of qualifying in the rain the day earlier.

Pretty impressive first lap.

In that race there were multiple classes running at the same time.

Here are some of the build pics of that car
