I have a warm, fuzzy feeling inside...
One of my customers from awhile ago has been getting a lot of grief from a competitor of mine for several months now. Guy ordered about $700 in product...builder lied continually saying they were either shipped, or ready to be shipped. Never shipped anything, despite him saying three months ago they were ready and shipping that day.
I've been hearing a lot about this from other people, as well. Even his OEM customers who are now migrating to me. The guy's digging himself a hole, and fast. I had given this customer three orders of good service. On the last order about a year ago, I flubbed a bit due to plain old overwork and he slipped off my radar for a couple repairs. I wound up sending them back to him, unfinished. I spoke to him the other day about his current problem. He explained...and also ordered something from me. I cut him a good deal and I got 'em done that same day. But, I went one step further. Had some product sitting around here that had been sent back for exhanges because they weren't quite right for the original buyer...easily $900 in product if "new" I boxed 'em up too, and told him he should sell them on Ebay, forums, whatever. That I would do what I could to help recover his lost dough from an unreliable competitor. He got his package today. His email was titled "Gobsmacked"
