...me too. I have a five year old daughter, though. I wish I didn't know who Billy Ray Cyrus was/is, either...

Every teenage kid should have a 400+ hp car.

Oh wait, half of them have mommy & daddy's 7,000-pound hand-me-down SUVs, so maybe it's not such a bad idea.

+1

She has "future bad girl" written all over her.

Let's see - former Disney Channel manufactured "stars":

Brittany Spears - train wreck
Lindsey Lohan - train wreck
Hillary Duff - seems to have turned out okay
Miley Cyrus - future train wreck

That's a .750 batting average for creating sluts and drug addicts (assuming Cyrus ends up the way we all know she's going to). Not bad.

I hope you guys are wrong about her going nuts, it would be nice to see a teen star actually turn out good. Her parents obviously love her and want her to be grounded. Kudo's to them for caring. While the media and everyone else seems to scoff at their parenting of her I hope it works out good for all of them.

BTW - Cool kid to want a Porsche rather than a SUV with 40"Rims and a 7,000 watt stereo.

Don't get me wrong - I love Disney (great company, plus my wife works for 'em). Just saying if you give that much $$$ and ego to a young kid, it will almost always end up badly.

If the parents of any of 'em were smart, all the $$$ would go into a trust that they can't touch until they're 25 and contingent on graduating college and being completely drug and DUI-free for that time.

I know who she is because I was flipping through channels a few years ago and said, "Hey, that's Billy Ray Cyrus! I wonder what he is doing..." I watched 5 minutes of a Hanna Montana episode and got the gist that it is a kid's show.

I've seen a few interviews of him with or without his daughter. He seems to be a great dad. He's not afraid to discipline his daughter, but also shows great love and devotion. I really hope she turns out okay.

You guys should watch the "harvest" South Park. It addresses many of the issues discussed here.

She is hands-down the biggest thing there is on the horizon for the entertainment industry at this moment and not incidentally, projected to be a billionaire by age 18.

Her parents will want to be nice to her.

If her dad did that everyone would be ridiculing him for being controlling. I think its a great idea but the press and your average (loves dirty laundry news) American would disagree.

I hope she turns out well, she is a cute kid and has a great niche, it would be great to see her turn out normal and become a train wreck like the other ones.
