I have a feeling that if Absolut would run that ad in the USA their sales would be ZERO.

Mexico achieved independance from Spain in 1821. The Northern territories were never really part of "Mexico". They were claimed by Spain, like Florida.

After the 1848 war, then the 1853 Gadsden purchase, those lands were officially part of the United States of America, and agreed between Mexico and the USA.

To look at it otherwise, is garbage.
