How to copy add book from cell phone to sim card?
I have the Nokia 6030, type RM-75.
What I tried, many times, was going into "add book", select "Name", press "Option", select "Copy", select "From Phone to SmartChip", select "All", select either "Keep Original" or "Move Original". The screen showed "Copy" running for a while than it said "200 contact not copied", or "1 contact not move". Anyone know why can't I copy nor move addresses to my card?

Just a guess - moving from phone to smart chip means copying to a separate memory card, not the SIM?
If you're buying a new phone, the phone place should be able to transfer the addy book for you to the new phone, either with software and/or a cable

The sim card can store some too, like 200+ numbers. I can be able to transfer from card to phone, not be able to transfer from phone to card.

Any place that sells the phones will have a little gadget to do this. IIRC.
Got to where you bought your new phone and ask.

My Razr has the option to either save address book entries to the SIM or to the phone. I've always saved to the SIM, with the hope that I can simply move the SIM to move my numbers. Probably doesn't help you though, if you've already put in the entries.

I am going off of a 6080 so this might not directly translate but it should be very very similar as they are both series 40 devices.
From the menu go into your contacts folder then names. from there select "options" then "copy" select "from phone to sim card" The only thing to keep in mind is that the sim card can only have one entry per name so if you have a persons name and 3 different numbers on the phone it will show up as "persons name, persons name1, persons name2 on the sim card. The phone can only carry 200 contacts and I belive the SIM is 250 so you should be fine. |

Thanks guys.
Dave, Maybe this is the problem. When I do copy from phone to card, it give me an error after thinking for several seconds. I tried it 50 times already. Maybe I have to merge name and number into 1 entry. Or maybe my card memory is dead. Thanks. Again, thanks guys.
