The first one is not a "feeway shooting". The guy got shot somewhere else and drove onto the freeway. I hate to stereotype, but from his name and age, plus getting shot in the head like that, I don't think that first one was "random". Second one sounds like it was random road rage, but not the first.

Here, there have been several incidents of punk kids thinking it's funny to toss heavy objects off overpasses. The goal to take out a driver..I guess the next thing to outlaw is large rocks?

I had that happen on Christmas eve this year, it was a fist-sized rock, hit the roof about 6" behind the windshield, right above my head. Scared the bajeezuz out of me

I saw where they were and I was going after them. I took the next exit, they were running behind yards and I was going in & out of streets. I was OUT OF MY MIND pissed. My wife calmed me down... good thing. Called the police... they had received several calls, one person got a rock right in their lap. Merry christmas

IMO, we're on the verge of a race war in LA.
The hispanic and black gangs are retaliating against each other and I'm afraid it is escalating. Hope I'm wrong.

Several months ago there was a gang-related shooting near a high school in LA. The next day there was another shooting in a high school, in the other gang's area. A young girl was also killed just because sahe was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Sice then I've noticed an increase in shootings, especially on or near the harbor freeway and 405. Could it be a coicidence? Sure. Is it? I don't thnik so. It is simply an observation that could probably be backed up with trending statistics. The observation has nothing to do with a racial dislike or anything like that, it is just a reality that some folks dont want to hear.

It's happening in LA and also in the Long Beach area including wilmington, (3 shootings there in 2 weeks, 2 of them ending in shootouts with cops) with what seems like more frequency. It also seems that the shootings are more violent and blatent in that multiple shooters open up on a crowd, in daylight, etc. Lots of folks out there getting less shy about their target practice. they're even shooting at cops. Used to be the cowards would drive by a house at night and spray it with bullets as they passed, now they walk up and fire away and don't walk away until they are out of ammo.
Maybe they've watched too many episodes of the sopranos? Some of the shootings are looking more and more like the over the top mafia hits you see portrayed on the boob tube.

The first one on the 101, last I heard, was suicide. The guy's girlfriend had killed herself hours before and grief stricken, he shot himself in the head as he drove down the freeway.

Jeff Cooper pointed out (years ago) that quite possibly the best way to sort out these problems is to donate the ammo.

Yeah, the only reason they are not doing it now is because they don't have then ammo.

If it would simply be gang members killing each other off, who cares and it could be accomplished inside of the jails and prisons today. The problem is that it would be one innocent victim after another being shot for no reason other than the color of their skin. It's happening already and it would be an extremely one-sided fight in CA. unless blacks quickly flowed in from the rest of the country. The Mexicans are the aggressors 9 times out of ten, and the tenth one is a black gang-banger retaliating. Latin America is an extremely racist place; they tolerate whites in the U.S.A. because we are still the alpha race, (not for much longer at current rates, though), and they absolutely despise blacks. It's a troubling phenomena that could easily reach a head soon with the crumbling economy.

i dont agree with everything he does but he sure as hell has cleaned up cave creek/carefree of the illegal alien problemo that had come to a head.

a prominent local historical bar(harolds) just had one of their illegal employees leave work and get nailed for a DUI! i cant think of worse press for that place. the editor of the local paper has taken the illegal alien problemo to new heights by taking pics of everyjuan picking up the day laborers and taking their plate numbers down.

add to this you are now seeing in english and spanglish and spanish u.s labor dept signs regarding hiring los illegals everywhere in town.

It is not occurring any more now than it was last year. What is happening is that the media is covering the stories now. Whatever the news focuses on as it relates to crime become the latest "trend" when in reality it is just what they are focusing on. Freeway shootings take place in LA every so often.....not what the news is trying to portray.
