AVG is free, does not clog up your system and works good. Hard to beat.

Have you actually looked in your hard drives files to really make sure that the program is not there. These types of things just don't go away by their self, and if you did not manually, actively remove the program files, it is still hiding somewhere inside. Better do a check, because there is no telling just what it is just waiting to do, or what it is actually doing, without your knowledge.

Wolfe's wife here. I use Super http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html and have never had any problems with it. I use it to convert both audio and video and it works well at both. Also, it's freeware and is regularly updated with new codecs to stay up-to-date as new codecs are developed.

Hi Wolfe's Wife! It just sort of sounded neat to say that. Tony.

Nothing is safe from viruses and hacks. Windoz is just the preffered OS to exploit since it's everywhere.

"Anti-Virus" is anything but.

Find the SUPERsetup.exe file and right click on it. See if there is an option to 'Run as Administrator',. If so, click on it and see if that helps with the install.
