150 miles, 2 days, pedal power only

Yep, tomorrow is the MS 150. I'm ready. I've done 150 in a weekend, a few weeks back, and did a century last sunday.

Back pack is full for the La Grange party, Saturday night.

Who want's to see the red-beard in full-on gay bike spandex?

(not that there's anything wrong with that)

Best of luck - have fun!

Gay bike spandex pics not required.

If you've done a 100+ you should be fine. 'specially in Texas. You guys don't have those things called "hills" to deal with. I imagine the wind gets to be a bit of a PITA at times though.

A bunch of folks from my company are riding in it. CapRock communications. We'll have a hummer outfitted with a satellite dish and free domestic LD setup somewhere.

You must be thinking of Dallas. 20 miles in, it's all hills!

Oh, and we do have wind. 9 mph cross wind all day Saturday. 8 mph head wind all day Sunday.

OK, time to put up or shut up! How much will you pay for me NOT to post photos of red-beard in Gay bike spandex? I have an especially nice one of me in a wife beater bib shorts. Chest hair is nicely fluffed.

Don't think we have to pay you.

110% sure Z-man will put you in the penalty box for at least a month.

I'm N of Dallas between the lakes so hills can be found but for the most part it's flat.

The wind up here makes up for it. 8-9 MPH winds are a calm day around here.

i did it in denver years ago. what pissed me off was my buddy that went with me. i drove in, and the first thing he said was, "hey, can you help me get to my bike?" this was the day before.

i had to help him organize his garage to find his bike which was stored waaaay back there! i did a quick tune up, while he got drunk...he kicked my arse for two days straight...lungs with legs..bastard.

I'm looking at it. I'm just about insane enough.

For those who don't know, it is 100 mile race/ride near Wichita Falls Texas, north of Dallas. Wind and heat are the name of the game.

The Jerseys always look cool!
