The Perfect (political) Storm

How delicious is this particular political season? It’s become the ‘Perfect Political Storm.’

Hillary Clinton: a woman with more political ‘torn’ baggage than Ted Kennedy (and about as physically attractive), a proven liar and power hungry candidate, reviled by about half the USA population and probably by as many now in her own Party.

Barack Hussein Obama: a nobody/junior Senator that was hoisted to his current contender position by the guilt ridden ‘honkey/crackers’ and Hollywood money crowd that saw their first chance to put the whole ‘slave issue’ behind them (and defeat the detested Clinton machine).

John McCain: an elderly R.I.N.O., war veteran, that once considered accepting John Kerry’s V.P. invitation and is so middle-of-the-road he might as well be on the Democratic ticket also.

What has most of the ‘thinking’ population (that remotely follow politics) scratching their heads is; ‘How the fuch did we end up with these three?’

I have no answer.

So what will be the result?

The Democratic party is self destructing before our very eyes. ‘Operation Chaos’ (Limbaugh’s term) is the ongoing battle of these two candidates that are racing headlong towards …a brick-walled dead end! Neither can knock the other out and the final winner will be have to be chosen by ‘Super Delegates’. (For those not familiar with the term, the Democrats decided years ago that the unwashed masses of their voting populace was not intelligent enough to choose THEIR candidate, so Super Delegates will do that for you! Ie: your vote is really meaningless to us.) Delicious!

The numbers are out there (do your own Google) as many Demo. voters will
either abstain or vote for McCain when their particular candidate is NOT the ‘Chosen One’. I hope Denver Colorado is beefing up their police/fire depts. Because the Democratic Convention could be like days of yore IF the candidate of the ignorant youth (BHO) is tossed aside. They will not go quietly into that good night.

And if you think it’s been comic theater so far ...just wait until their candidate is finally chosen and the GOP ‘machine’ swings the guns around and opens fire.

McCain. Meet the new boss …same as the old boss.

So the result of this particular political season will see BOTH parties tearing apart old notions, re-evaluating how they choose candidates and dissecting what went wrong.

Besides the career politician malaise in this country (which has absolutely fractured this country), the largest contributor to this debacle is the length of the campaign process, which starts years before the general election...it is stupid and wasteful.

As Red Beards VP, I will pass legislation that restricts any campaigning to six months prior to the general election, cap spending on campaigning and hold all states primaries within a month of any party convention.

I would then standardize the delegate process once and for all...wtf is a Super delegate

A "super delegate" is a device for the dems to disenfranchise their voters (who are too stupid to realize it).

Interesting assessment. And while I don't necessarily agree with every point, it certainly is more thought provoking than the standard lame "All of the candidates suck" we see so often.

Perhaps the greatest transgression Bush can be blamed for was not what he has done since elected, but rather destroying McCain's chances in NC in 2000. That may have been a time when McCain the moderate would have been a fitting choice for our country transitioning out of the Clinton (Bill) years. In any event I can't Imagine him mucking it up worse than Dubya has. And McCain is now stuck with trying to clean up a somewhat hopeless mess.

McCain will win, which IMHO is better than either of the alternatives.

This is great theater, no doubt.

I really don't think Hillary is in the race to win. She's in the race to damage Obama's chances in the general election. If Obama loses the general election, he will be relegated to the democratic trash heap with McGovern, Dukakis and the like.

McCain is probably a one-term president because of his age. Hillary is pounding on Obama in order to position herself for a 2012 run for the White House. I could be wrong, but it sounds so diabolical it's irresistable!

Hillary is in to win.

I hope she fails.

Should be fun to watch (unless Hillary somehow wins).

Hate to be inane, but have you noticed Hillary's azz is spreading like a virus? I mean she's always been pear shaped, but I just glanced at some footage being run on CNN today and of late it seems to be getting worse.

Guess she'll have the female SCCA corner worker vote.

Really nothing new here. Another thread rehashing the root problem which is the best candidates left the race. Hasn't this been the case for a long time now?

The question is, what can we do about this in the next 4 years as these 4 years have already been lost.

Hillary is in it to win. So is so close that it will take a stake through her heart to stop her. If the blackeyed pea should get the nod, you can count on her only giving lip service to endorsing him with her voters. Come 2012 Hillary with a McCain win will come out and say look I told you all so.
Vote for me, by that time Teddy K will be history.

If the FL and MI delegate situation is not resolved you can expect a court case.

Geez ...I just found out my prediction is already underway! They have a web site.

Follow up: The domain name is owned by Glen Spagnuolo. Active over a year it appears. The following is from a news release.

The Daily Times-Call
Publish Date: 5/3/2005

Longmont recreation program supervisor Glenn Spagnuolo.

City officials are looking into possible misuse of his computer, cell phone and time in his support of controversial University of Colorado professor Ward Churchill. Spagnuolo faces termination, but could also be exonerated.

City officials have declined to comment on the specifics of the investigation, but during a court hearing, they said they were upset about comments Spagnuolo made on a KHOW radio program in March defending Churchill. Both Churchill and Spagnuolo said violence can be an option to solving problems with the government.
___________

That LAST sentence is most interesting.

God, if we could ONLY get all the Libs., Crips, Bloods, (misc. gangs), outfitted
with automatic weapons and have them ALL bussed to Denver! Many problems solved in a few days of gunfire, rioting, fires and mayhem. (Sigh)
