Just got off the phone with my Brother. My Dad has some blockage as well as something called a cardio lapro regergitation which is a little leakage I guess. The Docs will try to fix the blockage with drugs - not sure it the rest can be cured with drugs or not.

Anyone know about this stuff?

BTW - thanks for the prayers and kind words.

Mike, you and your family are now on the list. If things take a turn for the worse, head to where-ever your Father is. Work is not that important and family is...

Ditto number 25..

They have airplanes now Lubby.

The house doc is most likily right about the outcome of this. Anytime a surgery is done it is risky..I don't have a clue if that is in the cards or not, I defer on that one?

It might not be a bad time to go and tell him what you told all of us. That you love him. well again anywayt can't say it too much...

Ya, it was info from my Twin Bro who has a big heart but sometimes science and med terms get him all sorts of confused.

He has some blockage which they will take care of with medicine (anti-coagulants?) as well as a valve that has slight leakage. They are not going to operate on the valve - I guess it is not that serious but it does produce some murmur. They will how ever look to give him meds to optimize the heart in order to offset the leaky valve.

Looks like he will be in a few more days. They have started the blood thinner meds.

I just got off the phone with him. He sounds great. He said the nurses are cute and the food is actually pretty good "beats the shyt out of micowave food" he said. He met another war vet - been swapping tales.

He also has big plains on his sponge bath! Date night for the ol timer.

great to hear Lube,
so instead of a stress test, he's going to boink the nurse.
Like Tab's mentioned..if it's been some time since you seen him..
get going...or have him hang in the Texas heat for a bit.

Clot in a heart artery? The leaky valve sounds minor.

Hoping for the best! Sounds like he's going to be alright, though.
