Does anyone know anything about Security Cameras?
I have a fairly large commercial tenant. I am thinking about looking into a security camera system for a parking lot that is 1.5 acres appx.
Any knowledgeable people out there on this subject?

Call a pro, there are all different types of cameras and recorders out there. I am in the Security Industry, and I really on the pros for system type work.

If you do go the networked camera route....make sure you secure them. Otherwise everyone on the net can see/pan/zoom them. If you don't know what I am talking about.....
Google search, inurl:”viewerframe mode=” It's actually fun to play with other people's cameras. |

Check out Axis network cameras. They are a mid-grade commercial product (unlike the consumer-grade stuff on the aforementioned website). I install them in parking lots for commercial developers who need to monitor multiple (and long-distance) jobsites. You can zoom in and view truck signage and license plates from several hundred feet. Up close, you can check to see if a quarter is heads/tails. Very reliable and have yet to have one fail in over 5 years (including hurricanes). www.axis.com |
