There is a round office building in downtown Tampa. About 25 stories I would guess. I know several people with offices in it.
They all hate it.

Definitely one of my favorite L.A. landmarks, the Capitol Records bldg. on Hollywood and Vine. The story is that they made it round so that no one could trap a secretary in a corner.
![]() Women who have worked in the record business actually find that plausible. Frank Sinatra supposedly had influence in the design of the building, but whether that's true or not, it is one of the best examples of that particular tradition of Deco architecture where the building shape is related to the product that the company produces or sells. (Many years after the heyday of Deco, though). ![]()

I have seen this house everytime I go to the mountains ever since I can remember. We always called it the UFO or flying saucer house. It was featured in Woody Allen's 1973 film, Sleeper.
