Wife gave me some Gnarley Head tonight!

2006 Gnarley Head Old Vine Zinfandel

Crafted from grapes from 35-80 year old vines.

Lush ripe berry aromas with a sort of licorice hint. Lush on the palate with plenty of fruit and a bit of sweetness. The wine is somewhat alcoholic because of the very ripe grapes used to get that degree of fruitiness... sort of like the newer style of wines. Easy to drink and easy on the price.

In 1986 while touring France on my bike I had a bottle of Le Clap by Paul Herpe and Sons. I think you were more lucky, stomachmonkey.

For those of you from the Bay Area, I sent the lable to Herb Caen and got mentioned in his column.

WTF? I just told the wife to get me some Gnarley Head, and now I'm sleeping on the couch.

Perpetual bachelor for this very reason. The day I have to beg for it is the day I'll put my nutz in a jar...

Girlfriends give gnarly head better than wives. They're still trying to get the ring thru your nose

That's the kind of head I might actually be able to get from the wife.

read the title and thought 'not sure if gnarley is a good thing when describing head but dammit good for you!'

of course just having the subject come up is a great lead in:
"here honey i have some gnarley head for you'
'ha, ha- i thought you meant the OTHER head!'
'yes, ha ha, that is funny isn't it.'
eyes lock, pulses quicken.............

Wife got some more.

Exhausted this week so after 2 glasses tonight I'm trashed.

This stuff has almost 14% alcohol content.

May pour a bottle in the car and see how it runs.
