The BMW is home!
Well, after a lot of planning we managed to sneak a couple of days off, gather up 2 out of 3 kids and cover 900kms with trailers in 2 days up into the high country to collect the car and all her bits.
The trip itself was wonderful as neither Mike nor the kids had been up into these parts before and the country is beautiful (car was on a property in the foothills of our snow country in Vic). The previous owners are lovely people and as is often the case, we have some new friends and a new drive destination for somewhere to visit  .Now the car...she is every bit as good as I was hoping and then some. I have already joined the E9 board and have posted a few pics showing just how (virtually) rust free she is. Great board with a good brain trust of people - I'll be frequenting there a lot! Here she is going on the trailer for the trip home. Say hello to the new baby  !

A classic body shape...soooo much more pleasing to the eye than today's BMW offerings.

Very straight, rust-free car. Definitely has the potentially to be VERY nice.
