I saw mention of the Roxster in a Porsche Wiki that I was looking at the other day. I thought it was an error. Unfortunately it wasn't.

OMFG that's hideous.

Well, at least it's not a VW, like the Cayenne is.

The X3 market probably makes more sense in Europe where the average car is much smaller than here in the USA. Similar situation with the Diesel - far more popular in Europe.

Porsche is becoming (has become) a major car manufacturer --- we all need to get used to that. It's no longer a hobby car builder! Let's face it not every Porsche will suit every Long Hood owner. Looks to me like the baby Cayenne would be an ideal product in the market given the $ for a gallon of gas. Remember how much flack Porsche took from many of us for building the Cayenne. So the latest sales records have the Cayenne as the only model line whose sales are up from last year. I'm all for the new model (regardless of what it looks like) and if it gets 40MPG, then I just might buy one (though I'd still keep the long hood and the Boxster).

Side view looks like a jacked-up Hyundai Lantra wagon.

The future is definitely not rosy for the market sector (and Euro market) that this car is coming into, they better have a hybrid drivetrain ready to drop into it if they want to sell any sort of volume.

Petrol/gasoline is predicted to top £1.50 a litre (that is over $13 a gallon - hello) in the UK by September, and that is a world of pain for those trying to sell relatively pointless "small enough to be not big enough" cars like this.

The 911/Carrera has IMO always carried one of the most beautiful rear ends in car history. How they managed to make the butt end of the Cayenne (and now this) so ugly, is beyond me. Extraordinary. Its bland, boring, slab, fat looking. Too bad.

It's apparently built entirely from parts already available from the Audi (which Porsche now owns - or will any day) parts bin. So much for the black Audi wagon jokes.

Porsche is in danger of becoming just another car company. I can imagine telling my grandchildren, "When I was a kid they were a sports car company!"

blech - all i can say is $4.00 a gallon and heading higher. The Stupid Ugly Vehicle era is dead and this is what the numb nuts at Porsche come out with. Why not come out with a high mpg SPORTS car.

About as lovely as the highly desirable Aztek. I wouldn't walk across the street to examine either one.

Why doesn't Porsche just (discreetly) sell cocaine out the back door to make money ...rather than making more vehicular crap like this?

The rear needs lots of work, the front 3/4 view is okay.

I get the X3, at least the new one shown on MotorWeek a few weeks ago.

Funny thing, you can get a real Boxer motor in a vehicle like this. I'm guessing that this Porsche labled is not.
