Cool step towards going green
Normally we deliver our Surveys to our clients. Each day my receptionist takes off in her car and run deliveries.
Recently, maybe 5 months ago we started planning the deliveries to be run with the field crews, since they are driving right past lots of the places the receptionist is going to. We took it one step further about 3 - 4 weeks ago, we began implementing a electronic seal on the survey, converting it to the pdf format and e-mailing it to our clients to print to use. The survey has special verbiage that it is only valid for 60 days from issue date. The clients love it because they get their product instantly sometimes a day earlier that if we ran it to them and if a revision is needed it can be done in minutes. The funny part is our next obstacle. The local government, we would like to be able to submit our inspection drawings, and permit drawings with an e-seal via e-mail. I cannot see this happening. Ever. Too big of a change for a dinosaur of an entity. I am going to petition them and ask but I already know the answer. They prefer us to drive down and deliver paper copies to them.
