Teddy ducked out of the car before it went off the bridge...they saw a cop car and rather than be caught in a compromising situation Teddy got out and hooffed it home while Mary Jo went off the Bridge. That is the unoffical thoughts of the Sheriff of the Township?

If you put it all together and think about it, it is sure fits the facts.

Ooops. I forgot how big the old Chebby bowtie was back then. Also, no wrap around tail lights.

I would buy that.

However, he has told stories about trying to dive into the water to rescue her. I think he should have been charged with murder. Maybe then he would have told the truth.

Well... This Great White Shark, a rogue that swims alone, goes up to the area near Chappaquiddick with the Gulf Stream and munches on this summer girl who is night swimming off the coast. The shark then munches on the little Kitner boy leaving the townspeople in a panic. The beaches get closed and the Sheriff hires a crotchety old fisherman to hunt the shark talking along a rich sheepshank tying oceanographer as ballast. The old fisherman is eaten by the shark and the sheriff blows the shark to bits using a pistol and a container of compressed air.

Oh wait...that was Jaws.

Nevermind.

I thought that was the shore of Long Island, not the Cape. Wouldn't want the important details misrepresented.

Mary Jo's death may have saved the country. It assured that Ted Kennedy would never become president.
