that one was not her fault
she looked pretty pissed
I definately think she was gonna bust out the pimp hand Good thing security was there |
yep, she was 100lbs of scorned woman.
|
Wasn't her fault at all but she threw her normal temper tantrum, pounding on the steering wheel, wanting to go after Brisco. She does need to grow up.

If she were a dude it would have been ok, but because she's a chick she's being a baby? |
What was she going to do?
Such it up little girl, that's racing. |
Adrian Sutil got shafted way worse than she did.
Screw the Earl anyway. I refuse to support fkin Tony G. |

Overall a very entertaining race. |
If Danica were a man, she'd not have the attention (good and bad). Plain fact is, she isn't a man (I know, I have an amazing ability to state the obvious SmileWavy). To that end, she deserves creds for being a pioneer. Also, I know that the worst driver in that field of 33 (or even the ones that didn't make it) better on a bad day with a hangover than I will ever be!
Was she going to punch him out? Heck no! She wanted to vent. Besides, in car racing that is just good theater. She wanted the fans in the stands in turn 4 to know it wasn't her fault. Remember the "thrill from West Hill"? Paul Tracy was in a shouting match every week (and even a few full blown fist fights) and his fans loved it. Don't even get me started on the mullets in Crashcar. Bottom line: racing is a show. The fans are loyal to their drivers. As a result, the sponsors pay the big bucks to get their stuff in front of the fans and on TV. Winning races just means more fans. Could they eliminate half the stupidity in racing? Sure but the fans would diminish as well. (Again Crashcar proves how much fans love stupidity, but I digress). I'll probably get flamed for the above so here's the disclaimer: Crashcar drivers are better than me as well. So, will Danica be another Rick Mears, AJ Foyt, Mario, Michael, Little Al, or Danny Sullivan? Probably not. Is she a fairly attractive female racer that is dam fast? Yup and more power to her. Does she have a weight advantage? Sure but she also has a strength disadvantage. Now, lets talk about how BADLY they hacked up the broadcast this year with commercials!!! |

I thought the piece on death was in very bad taste.

booo freaking hoo for her. I remember a few years ago she was following a pace car wiggling back and forth trying to heat up her tires and she crashed out another car. How hard is it to follw a pace car without hitting another car? Glass Houses. Maybe the driver of that car should have went after her?
She's a publicity stunt, that's all. |

I completely agree. She's nothing more than a "token female" marketing effort to promote f*ckin' Tony George and his POS series.
His goal of completely and utterly destroying open-wheel racing in the U.S. is virtually accomplished. All he's got left to do now is kill off the Atlantic series (which is pretty much all OW fans have left now) and retire. I swear he's a cyborg sent back in time by NASCAR to destroy all competition and turn all U.S. auto racing into boorish, vapid, oval-track stupidity. Either that or 1/4 mile drag races. I also heard on Speed TV's wrap-up yesterday that our fair city of Long Beach here just signed an exclusive agreement with IRL until 2013. What a crock. I won't be attending. Well, I'll go to see the Atlantic and ALMS events (assuming they're still around) but I refuse to put one red cent into Tony G's hands - or into those of his suck-ups like Danica. |
Too bad it wasn't Mika Duno who crashed into her, and they caught on fire and the teams doused them with water, and then they stripped off those wet suits and wrestled in the mud created by all the water. Come on, you're all thinking it, someone had to say it :D.

Sarah had nowhere to go, Marco screwed up and Tony collected her. However, there is no crying in racing. Grow the fuch up. I also don't understand the officials use of prior restraint in F1 or Indy, the racing sucks, at least give the fans a good brawl to watch.
