That is what I was fearing but I was hopeful somebody out there knows how I could still pull this off.

I said OVERSIZE tires. Get them used. Raises the effective final drive ratio. If you don't have a lot of stopand go, and few hills, it would help a hellofalot more than the 2 sec OD delay.

Do the cardboard now, too, was my point, until it's warmed up.

You an engineer?

I wonder if you could do an ECU reset like you can with the benz, key in to on (but not start), hold gas pedal down for 5 sec, then turn off while foot still on pedal?? Then waiting 2 minutes or something like that.

Mancard? I don't think I have ever received such a thing. Maybe that is my problem...

The 5 second hold the pedal down deal is what you do to reset the oil change monitor.

Is there no pirate software out there for this type of thing?

Speedy,

Pardon my foggy memory, but didn't the GM minivans (3.4L with 4 sp. auto) have, after the first couple of years, adaptive programming in the transmission control modules?

For a while, my employer at the time had me driving Chev Ventures and I seem to recall reading about that feature. I had little problem getting the consumption down to 9 litres/100 likometers (getting close to 30 mpg) in rural and highway driving.

Your right foot is the biggest factor.

If you decide you want to get rid of it, give me a buzz...

After the 951 sells, of course.*

If it has the digital climate control he can hold "off" and "warmer" for five seconds and get access to the ecu, but you still can't reprogram it without very expensive tools.

These guys could probably reprogram your ECU for better mileage http://www.wait4meperformance.com/

They programmed the ECU on my last truck.
