LOL. Welcome to FLA, the "All About Me" state. That midwest compassion & hospitality you're used to? Forgeddaboudit...you're in FLA now.

Neighbors, drivers, loud azzwipes in the movie theater, etc....you will have a loooong line of people worthy of "getting in their faces" about misc. stuff. Get used to it or get out (like I am!). 8 years for me was about 5 years too many.

Glad you made it through and got yourself in. I imagine your starting work today. Glad to see this all worked out for you.

If you were moving in next door to me I would have given you a hand, Brian. I was actually planning a little road trip up there to help then I got a call from my buddy on Wed. (a Tile installer) that he has the first half of this week free so I had to demo my bathroom in anticipation of his arrival. He does amazing work.

In another week this will be done and I am free, I was glad to help you out in other ways. I am looking forward to playing car with my new friend in the future.

Good luck at the new job.

Bell, I cannot feel my fingers today, I am a wimp that has ridden a desk too long. I tore out the entire bathroom over the weekend and was glad to get a break and be back at work today.

I am sorry I missed your call I have been running like a madman for 4 days straight.

From this:

To this:

Ready for my bud Kevin to do his thing today.

Have a relaxing day Brian. I'll chat with you this evening.

Jim

Jeremy, the bathroom was PINK the entire house was PINK when we purchased it. The woman the built it was some sort of pink lover, I have no idea how her husband and son lived in this sea of pink. Even the kitchen.

My wife painted the bathroom cabinets in an effort to reduce the pink, but the tile floor and walls were all PINK.

Our hallway bath is the only room left in this house that is not remodeled. It is Grey and PINK and is next.

I know what you mean - I've owned two houses that were that way - one had a pink bathtub and a peach wash basin - I almost threw up a little...

Congrats on the move.

FWIW, I had an older cable modem (DOCIS 1.0 Motorola). We run Comcast cable. Buy just using a newer (DOCIS 2.0) modem, my connections speeds are like 3x higher. Modem was only about $75, money well spent.

a few pics of the new pad........

westward view out the living room from the screened in porch (linia?)

the glass doors slide 2/3 open to the porch.

it's a townhouse connected to 4 others to the left.....but being an end unit more than makes up for it, 3 bedroom, 3 bath, fairly modern and got a heck of a deal on it.

i'm going to have to find a storage garage as the parking sucks, we can fit one car in the garage, and one in the driveway, the available "extra" parking is a joke........

but my wifey will like it and it's nicer than where we were living, and i don't have to cut the grass
anything i really need to do to the 911 or whatever can be done at the new shop as we have plenty of space.........now i just need to get the 911 here
