No threads about the 24 hours du pew-got?

Coverage so far is pretty one sided, so far they've showed about 1 hour of pew-gots, 10 minutes of Audis, and 5 minutes of corvettes. I'm sure there are other cars running, I see them in the background of the pew-got shots.

There were two Porsche RS spyders entered, but it's hard to tell because of so little coverage.

Here are some links for watching/listening to the race online

Radio Le Mans - http://globecast.workscast.com/

Live timing - http://www.lemans.org/24heuresdumans/pages/chronos_gb.html

links to video feeds - http://myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?matchid=13325&part=sports

Edit: this is best video feed available- http://24ur.com/sport/ostalo/prenos-24-ur-le-mans.html its live with no delay so it matches up to Radio Le Mans

I was wondering what happened in the crash too. I think it was just a racing incident- the cars seemed to be side by side going into the corner. I was rooting for the flying lizard team- its sad to see their race basically over in the first 2 hours.

Stupid Lemans question- what the difference between the Two Peugeot and Two Audi teams in LMP1. They are both factory teams, correct? So the teams that are the same make are basically the same?

Yes the cars are the same, I believe there is only one Peugeot team "Total" oil sponsored, the Audi teams are just differently named, no real difference, the Audi North America team is the name used in the ALMS.

I'll still watch later this evening, even though the coverage is awful.

If it was my gig, I'd cover all four classes evenly. Not just a couple of cars in P1.

I remember last year at the finish. It was as if the other classes weren't even racing.

Thanks for the info, this is the first time I have watched Le Mans. BTW, there are two Peugeot teams, according to the official timing they are: Team Peugeot Total and Peugeot Sport Total. Do both Peugeot teams share info and run the same setups so they are basically a four car team?

Well, you can quit complaining to Speed TV about the coverage. The TV feed as shown by Speed is the world feed - Speed doesn't have a choice as to what is put up on their monitor. It's the same as F1 - the Speed feed is the same as the British broadcast feed on TSN up here.

I guess it's only expected that there would be a lot of Pugeot coverage in a French race

Brad Kettler, manager of the Audi North America team when in the states is managing the Joest Team at Le Mans. Strange, but I guess they want to win pretty bad.Great team manager. Opps, sorry, the great TV coverage had it wrong, he IS managing the Audi North American team. I think the factory has a team or two there, plus the great guys from the US.

Another dumb Lemans question - what is the tire situation on the cars? Is it like F1 where they all have tires that Bridgestone determines before the race what to use. What do they use for wet tires? I heard om LMR that teams were putting on intermediate tires- just like F1 uses?

Looks like the rain is going to make things interesting!

The Audi's are faster in the wet than the Peugeots.

Audi is just about to take the overall lead!
