My First Book is Now Available!

Dear Friends and Loved Ones,
I just wanted to give you a heads up that my first book, Our Orwell, Right or Left, is now for sale at the Cambridge Scholars Publishing website, and the first shipment of books has been sent out. This is as of yesterday morning, so I don't even have a copy yet-- but it is now officially for sale. From what I am told, it should be for sale at Amazon.com shortly (they have a page up for it - search C.J. Fusco - but it's not listed as being for sale yet), but you can order it today from the C.S.P. website:

http://www.c-s-p.org/Flyers/Our-Orwell--Right-or-Left--The-Continued-Importance-of-One-Writer-to-the-World-of-Western-Politics1-84718-602-5.htm

I hope you enjoy it!

- CJ Fusco

p.s., tell your friends!

I like your bio: tinkering on old cars and obsessing over the Red Sox.

Just a quick note to let you all know that the Orwell book is now for sale on Amazon.com. If you plan on ordering it (please?), you'd be able to get slightly cheaper shipping through Amazon.

Thanks,
CJF

100 pages. 50 bucks. That's 50 cents a page. I like it.

I'm going to have a word with my publisher. At that rate, mine should sell for $250.- a copy!

Congratulations!

FYI, you've got a few "Orwells" in the product description that should be "Orwell's".

Best,

congratulations.

i read john rodden's book years ago. he covered the same topic. there were almost literal literary wars over who controlled orwell's legacy. the ultimate cnclusion was that he stood truly uniquely independent. still professing socialism at the end, he was the most dedicated foe of socialists ever.

I've been trying to get this corrected for months now. For some reason, the product description didn't translate correctly from the c.s.p. website to Amazon. As a result, there are no apostrophes in the Amazon description. It is very annoying, and I want it corrected, but it is very difficult to get in touch with a real person at Amazon nowadays.

I actually cite a few of John Rodden's books and articles throughout. As a matter of fact, besides Orwell's own texts, Rodden's Politics of Literary Reputation can probably be considered my main resource in writing Our Orwell, Right or Left. My book is different from Rodden's in a few different ways, however; his is more a comprehensive collection of Orwell's various reception history, mine is essentially a long argument for a particular viewpoint. Plus, I explore (within the book's final third) what it is about our culture and our government that makes Orwell still relevant.

Congratulations. Judging from the introduction, looks like a stimulating read. What viewpoint are you arguing for? Or does one gots to buy da book to find out ?

Is this a vanity publication?

Good luck with the sales!

Can you record an audio version on a CD for me? Thanks.

Seriously. Congratulations. Orwell's warnings are no less important now than they were then.

I look forward to reading it. However, $50 is usually beyond my budget for reading material. Does that include a subscription extension for Excellence Mag with purchase? Or maybe I'll loiter at Borders and nurse a cup of coffee for a few days.
