I don't hate much in music but stranger to me than the hate here is the love. I don't get the fanboi mentality when it comes to bands at all. Yea yea, it's art and all that but seriously....

Coldplay -a shameless U2 rip-off and nothing more

Ben Folds, or Ben Folds Five. Subpar musicians and subpar lyrics. The music has no gusto, it's just boring and whiney. Sitting through any of their albums is cruel and unusual punishment.

Jimmy Buffet. Every song is about drinking, eating, waking up next to someone you met the other night in a bar, or partying (see last 3)
