Garmin Nuvi, can it slave the display to a laptop?
Is there a way to plug in, using a USB and have the Nuvi screen display on a laptop?
I have to do a survey of agricultural engines and other sources out in the boonies. I have to GPS co-ordinates and they expect me to type in comments on a hand held GPS unit...screw that. I have a NUVI and a laptop....can't I get it to slave to my screen? I know I can use Windows Streets.....but I'd like to use what I have w/o buying more crap....

Garmin nRoute should work. I have not tried it on the nuvi, but it is supposed to work on most garmin units. I have used it on the garmin 60CSx. It is a great free product.
