How's this for a way to recycle an old Fuchs wheel?

Putting this to a new use - no, I didn't inflict the curb rash, I got the wheel that way. I just cleaned it up a bit. Sure beats the plastic thing we had from OSH...

Looks great, my son is working at OSH while going to college, Those plastic hose reels are ugly. Maybe i should have him make that hose reel available to the public (you would get royalties of course)

Great recycling effort! The Phone dial wheels also make a nice BBQ grill. Lay flat and place a wire mesh inside and fill with charcoal. HarborFreight tools had them for $80 5 years ago. John_AZ | ||

You're a little late Markus. TRE has had a Fuchs hose wheel for quite some time now. They even relocated it to the new location.

You won't go 2 miles on that hose before it's slung all over the road (I tried that - IMPOSSIBLE to balance).
