FastPat, the second comming

Well it seems to have become a tradition to invade FastPat on the weekend after the 4th of july.
We started out in fine fasion with a few friends having dinner out, in the downtown Greenville SC area. Tomorrow we invade Pat all proper like, when the rest of the troops assemble. They are currently planning thier attack plan from the NC mountians. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1215828721.jpg
Stay tuned, same bat time same bat channel

daepp 07-11-2008 06:55 PM

I miss FastPat - whatever happened to him?

Joeaksa 07-11-2008 06:56 PM

Names please?

Drdogface 07-11-2008 07:07 PM

Yeah, I miss him too. We need pics/names of the meeting.... Is Fast Pat in that pic ??

I dunno why he was ever banned to start with.

He was banned because he was a Troll and nasty one at that. Doing what he did, especially to a moderator, is guaranteed to get you banned.

IMHO He deserved what happened and if he wants to re-join he can always email Wayne and ask to be back on the forum.

bell 07-11-2008 08:17 PM

bill's a stand up guy :D

fyi there will be a part 3 to jims trip, he dropped off at my place his autocross trailer with his race tires for his rx-7 thursday on his way north and on his return run home we are meeting in tavares fl for an autocross (i'll bring his trailer with my rav), he is letting me drive his rx-7 since my 911 isn't here yet :)
i'll have pics and video of a very tired jim sunday night, this is 2 beers i owe him now :D

Prials and Mrs. Prials showed Beth and I around Greenville last night after dinner. This is a great little town. The downtown area has been rehabbed wonderfully. If you have never been here, and you are passing through the area you should put it on your list of relaxing places to see. There were no less that 6 outdoor music events going on, the river, and the way they have built to go along with it is worth the trip. (sorry was too dark for pics :( ) It is funny, for a town that has a BMW facility here, they sure like thiers Mercedes.
Plans for today, Pat is going to swing by and pick me up this morning, and I am gonna give he and Linda some help with final set-up for the invasion. You should hear the menu, the grill is gonna get a good workout.
I am (stupidly) turning Beth lose for some retail therapy, and a ammo run. ( I brought guns, just forgot to bring the ammo) Well the cannons are loaded, just not the long stuff.
Yes folks we are planning an event this year.
Pics will be posted, this should be a good one, and being in SC I suspect we will have an ample supply of fireworks. (Prials already stated he has a trunk full)

gassy 07-12-2008 02:39 AM

Sounds fun!

Now that he has a Z-3, he's selling his 911.
With a little help from his friends, his vineyard is off to a good start.
In short, he has better things to do. ;)
Besides, with Bill taking charge there's really no need. :p

He sure liked it a lot when he didn't have his vineyard. He must have gone through a complete life change.

KFC911 07-12-2008 03:26 AM

Tell Pat hi! Pat sometimes liked to push other's buttons, like a few around here, but I always ignored that stuff (like I do most). I miss his perspective on lots of other things (non political, and the same applies to WWidebody & Mul(1/2/e)) :)

Shadetree930 07-12-2008 04:53 AM

This invasion has all the fixin's for a great Fark headline:

Guns & Ammo - Check
Fireworks - Check
Hot Chicks - Check
Moonshine - Check
Cigars - Check
Porsches - Check
Twisty Mountain Roads - Check
South Carolina - Check

Sweet Jesus .... this is going to be fun.

Let's hope we read about it here and not on Fark :D:D:D

daepp 07-12-2008 05:55 AM

So what did he actually do?

widgeon13 07-12-2008 06:07 AM

Who?

Sounds like when I was a teenager. The only thing missing is a ropeswing and a river.
Y'all have fun!!

sammyg2 07-12-2008 06:24 AM

You miss him? Really? Nice memory.
All he did was cut and paste things that were so extreme they were guaranteed to cause controversy. Then when someone took a stance other than his he got nasty and insulting. He did this 10 or 12 times a day, every day. That gentlemen is a troll.

It's one thing to be opinionated. It's another to exist only to cause turmoil and enjoy it.

widgeon13 07-12-2008 06:31 AM

yes, but he's such a nice guy when you meet him, according to the rumors......

LakeCleElum 07-12-2008 06:39 AM

We kicked a guy out of our 20,000 member m/c club for acting like FastPat was. He was the kind of guy you wanted to reach thru the computer screen and strangle.

I had the pleasure of sitting in judgement of his appeal. Upon meeting him in person, he was polite, meek and humble. He claimed he just really enjoyed pi$$ing people off. Life is better w/o him.

As with most "Internet Tough Guys"...

Traded the 911 for a Z3? How approrpriate... http://hpbimg.secteurx.com/drapeau%20gay.gif

sammyg2 07-12-2008 07:56 AM

I'm sure he is a nice guy in person. I'd bet he's also intelligent, witty, and charming.
In real life he's probably a great guy and I'd probably like him.

But on PPOT he was a troll. Trolls are bad.

MRM 07-12-2008 12:46 PM

Tell Pat Hi from the Minnesota Yankees and to make sure to stand too close to his cannon next time he shoots it off. Preferably looking up the barrel.

m21sniper 07-12-2008 12:49 PM

Tell him i send my regards. He was one entertaining sumbiatch. :)

Rick V 07-12-2008 01:45 PM

Well we had a great day, burnt lots of fuel, killed alot of good tire tread, sent alot of clay pidgoens to thir grave and are getting ready to sit down to hand pulled BBQ. Life in the land of Pat is good. :)

Seahawk 07-12-2008 01:45 PM

The fact that he still gets into some OODA loops speaks volumes.

I frankly wanted to meet him, so I did. There have been a number of provocateurs since I started posting here, but none with the ability to keep me interested...Pat made me do homework before I replied to his fusillades. He was never boring, which, troll or not, is a gift.

I hope we will continue to do the yearly Steeplechase meet and greet. It is now less about him than his wonderful wife, Linda.

widgeon13 07-12-2008 01:52 PM

We had a good day as well, flew the Maule, swam in the lake and BBQ this evening so I guess life is good even w/o FP.

Enjoy!:D

ed martin 07-12-2008 02:30 PM

AKA the "Bandwidth Bandit" troll!

livi 07-12-2008 02:36 PM

This thread displays the fine community of forum members very well. Remembering and discussing a former member, long after he has left. A very nice touch! Respect! :)

Rick V 07-12-2008 02:44 PM

Nice confederate flag. Were no swastikas available, or were they just not subtle enough?

That's the kind of remark that should have someone banned.

Danny_Ocean 07-12-2008 04:48 PM

Does anyone else hear http://webonastick.com/smileys/banjo.gif?

MRM 07-12-2008 04:49 PM

And I think the same about yours, Bert. The difference is your opinion supports a regime that rebelled against the US, supported slavery, and created the Jim Crow racial system that we are still paying for today. More Americans died in the war of southern secession than any other war. I don't see any reason to celebrate the "heritage" of such a flag any more than waving a swastika celebrates the "heritage" of German WWII Wermacht vets.

Well, in my humble opinion, if the first pinhead type of remark didn't get him banned then this one surely should!

Stating an opinion won't get you banned. Calling someone a "pinhead", however... SmileWavy

CarreraDan 07-12-2008 05:04 PM

Take care and have fun guys--sorry I had to work this whole weekend or I would have brought the Benz along (could provide the smoke screen). Pat has helped me out in many times of auto need and even though I don't agree with him 100% on everything I still consider him a friend. Last year we had a great time tearing up the mountains and the dinner was incredible. Hopefully, next year I will have my 993 and can drop down to see you guys. Life is going well here in Winston-Salem and I miss all my SC Porsche buddies.

Les Paul 07-12-2008 06:22 PM

For all you fast pat ball huggers. He was a condensing thug. Never in my life had I wanted to meet someone and knock the ever living s-it out of them. Good riddance to the fat slob.

Must be nice to be perfect. I hope that one day I can be held in such high self esteme as to be able to make a comment like that.
Once again, I share an event that some people here like and the ones that don't cant just ignore the post. They have to jump in and do the exact same thing they acuse Pat of doing.
Gotta love the double standard

bell 07-12-2008 07:41 PM

i think everyone needs to just let it go, he doesn't post here anymore so you all got your wishes...........
you're letting the mere mention of someone who was banned get all your panties in a bunch........go enjoy life.....

His spirit lives on with some other copy-and-paste trolls here. If I'm not mistaken, it was dipso who linked to a Lew Rockwell conspiracy theory post just the other day.

john70t 07-12-2008 08:49 PM

I'm seeing stocks on the ziffod process, and sights at the forehead, but I'm not much of a shooter;).
Looks like a fun day in the woods.

I didn't agree with half of the things fastpat said (especially the wasted bandwidth), but his right to speech "rung a bell" with this countryman. Thanks for sharing.
