Post McDonald's.........OUTSOURCED

Fer Chrissakes, this takes the cake.

Wife pulls into a McDs last night, orders, asks about which toy the Happy Meal has......they hadn't a clue. And packed an attitude, too.

She pulls up to the window, inquires about said toy, and learns the 'didn't give a ***** attitude was because........

THE DRIVE THRU WINDOW PERSON WAS IN NORTH DAKOTA.

And we were ordering in Redmond, Washington.

Good grief

Burgerville is awesome. One of the few things I miss about my short stay in the northwest a few years back. . .

Can't hold a candle to In-n-Out though.

This is interesting - McD's is actually one of our clients and I wasn't even aware they did this. . . I'll check into it and see if I can find out more info.

One of the cable channels had a program about that a few months ago. I had never heard of that before. Not only is it outsourced, and the person taking the order from a thousand miles away, but it very well may be somebody working from home! Some guy or gal sitting in their underwear in their kitchen, with a computer screen in front of them, taking your order for fries and a coke.

Can someone pleas explain to me how this is cost effective? I mean, the job isn't being outsourced out of the country so you still have the same minimum wage to contend with!

Easy enough, remove the physical limitations and one employee can man several windows virtually.
