Why is there a Truck on My Railroad Tracks?

With a little more speed, he might have made it... Authorities figure he must have been doing about 55 or so to make it as far up the grade as he did. Just outside of Billings, a new driver missed his turn and thought he might get back "on track" if he cut cross country for a ways.

I cut x-country all the time in the frozen wasteland that is the NA winter prarie. It can be easy to lose your way in a whiteout but there's way too much brown for the trucker to blame snowblindness. Gotta blame the crack - and Winterpeg.

When people with a "Y" chromosome are allowed to operate motorized equipment, the results are predictable. I am told that, on one of my construction projects, we had a semi, and belly dump trailer, entirely airborne for a moment.

I was expecting to see the classic "tried to beat the train but failed" pics.

53 designates the trailer's length. For most states, 53 is the maximum allowable length. The number below the 53 is the unit #. This one begins with the letter "R" which usually designates refrigerated van (aka "reefer"). This is a refrigerated van. The big box on the front of the trailer is the diesel powered refrigeration unit.

Okay, I know, I know, let the "reefer" jokes start...
