3.3 buckets of driveway sealer, 1 squeege and a beeeeeeeer in a pear tree!

So THAT's how you get a nice black driveway! Sealed mine last night (sorry no pics; my house is waaaay sub $1m and i don't want to get blasted for it) and it was not nearly the horrible job i thought it would be! The only bad thing was it took 1/3 more sealer than the bucket claimed. I used the Latexite Optimum stuff from Home checkyourown****out Depot and so far so good! Used the overpriced rubber squeege and after doing so would NOT want to attempt the job with a broom. Looks a LOT nicer. Finished at 10:30pm w/ a very refreshing Presidente

I did the parking lot at the restaurant once. I think it took 30+ buckets.

I made a few bucks as a kid doing that, never again. No matter how clean I tried to be, everything was covered with the black goop. And yeah, it always took more than expected. | ||

i think the pros have large tank spray rigs they tow around. probably not a bad gig as i have read prices for large quantities of the sealer stuff are waaaay cheaper than Home goeffyourselfwedontneedyousocheckyourown*****out Depot.

There is not the slightest need to apologize for your home to anyone here worth listening to. Its yours, be proud of it no matter if you think its humble. Truth is its probably nicer than the homes of many of the poser's rentals. Eff the stuffy, nose-up-in-the-air types if they don't relate to a working guy's lifestyle. You should proudly post pictures of your home, I'd like to see how the project turned out. Congrats on doing a tough job by yourself and being pleased with the results.
