Have to laugh. When I was based in Saudi Arabia, one of the local Muslims and I got to be fairly good friends. When he saw that the commisary was having BBQ ribs many of the times he asked me to bring him some. At first I hassled him asking him about the Moslem religion not letting him eat pork. He finally said "Mohammed did not have a refrigerator, and besides they taste too good to not enjoy" so I gave in.

It was part of our torture that we subjected the locals to ... showing them what they were missing by living in that hell hole.

What makes this kid a terror suspect vs a prisoner of war who killed US troops? What were the rules in Vietnam, Korea or WWII? Just wondering why he is in prison without hope of ever getting or why didn't they just shoot him after he threw the grenade?

If everyone is so sure these guys are terrorists, why not try them and punish them accordingly? This guy was taken at age 15 and locked up for the last 6 years with no trial. In regards to his eyes / feet 'being gone' - he is blind in one eye, has reduced vision in the other and had both ankles broken.

I can't really condone his actions, but at least give him a trial and if found guilty, punish accordingly.

No Dick, a misguided child travelling thousands of miles to kill infidels, managing to blow one up, get caught and then cry when not promptly returned to his mother is not a comparable situation.

he fooled me, I thought he was much younger until I saw the pics

hang on a second with that being done with all that stuff when you turn 40 though, I was always into bicycles as a kid, still am. Can't do everything like when I was 20, but I still like to try occasionally

I believe he is regarded as an enemy combatant. In WW II, how many German, Italian and Japanese prisoners did we release before the war ended?

We were going to try them at military tribunals until Justice Kennedy got a bug in his butt, or ear, someplace
