Posting here will probably help you...now you'll be extra embarrassed if you do find a moment of weakness. you only got two choices now, never smoke again and keep posting in here, or lie to all of us for the rest of your PPOT life

I also smoked, but chewed more. I quit, and have only had a couple of chews in over 10 years, and I was horribly hung over the next morning. Its wierd, but that is way more then enough to keep me away from them. I have zero desire to have anything to do with tobacco now.

This is a good book to read............
http://www.amazon.com/Small-Book-Rational-Recovery-Systems/dp/0440507251 Any "addiction" is that voice in your head, saying "do it do it" (that is your beast) yes after a few days of physical withdrawl, the rest is mental and habits. Stick with it if YOU WANT IT.

slakjaw, how you holding up?
After a couple failed attempts, I bought some Nicorettes and am on day 3. I am a bit cranky and need to blow off steam, but the gum does take the edge off. One lesson I learned yesterday: don't swallow the gum. Holy $#%@
