Former Astonaut spills the beans

Former NASA astronaut and moon-walker Dr. Edgar Mitchell — a veteran of the Apollo 14 mission — claims aliens exist.

He says extraterrestrials have visited Earth on several occasions — but the alien contact has been repeatedly covered up by governments for six decades.

Mitchell, 77, said during a radio interview in Birmingham, England, that sources in the federal government who had had contact with aliens described the beings as "little people who look strange to us."

He said supposedly real-life ET's were similar to the traditional image of a "small gray" — short, slight frame, large eyes and large head.

Mitchell also claimed human technology is "not nearly as sophisticated" as the aliens' and "had they been hostile," he warned "we would be been gone by now."

-So is he just old and wants someone to listen to him before dies?

-Has he violated TOP SECRET security and will now be brought up on charges?

Even if he violated TOP SECRET security protocols, prosecuting him would only confirm what he says. I am sure there is intelligent life out there some where, but I doubt they made it to earth.

1) Care to give us a place to find this story?
2) Having been part of the Secret NASA Government Space Conspiracy, I can safely say that there were no aliens ever. Really. Yes, the Porsche was bought via extra funds from NASA, but...that doesn't mean anything. No aliens. Repeat after me...no aliens.

I can't imagine advanced alien life would find humans anything more than pathetic.

Unless they wanted our planet, in which case I think we'd probably be wiped out pretty easily (since we don't know how to cooperate with each other in the face of a common adversary).

Unless they're simply sitting back and watching bemused as we destroy ourselves. We're pretty good at that too.

I am a firm believer in the fact that no one can keep a secert, IF there is money or fame to be made from telling the secret.

Oh, well...that makes it true. a batty old man (the astronauts were all insane anyways), at a decrepit old age, talking to some batty Brit radio talkshow host, about aliens...being reported on FoxNews.

I'm convinced.

Are you sure it's not just a publicity stunt for that crappy new movie that came out today?

I've posted this before, but it bears repeating

Aliens are really humanoids from the future. They are usually just sightseeing. Over time they developed methods to cloak themselves and go undetected.

In the early days of time travel they couldn't conceal themselves, and the whole thing was unregulated. All "alien" sightings, visitations and abductions are from this early period. Lots of shenanigans like going back in time and messing with the future, it was the "wild west" of time travel. After a few really disruptive outcomes (assassinations, messing with the stock market) all time travel was very tightly regulated. No more time tourism, or paying to have deeds undone.

At first they had a strict code of conduct, which everyone had to adhere to. One interesting thing was that they specifically targeted "nut cases" for abduction & testing. If this was not possible, they would do some pretty nasty stuff to bring on psychosis... they wanted people that would be discredited.

However, there were still rogue operatives who worked outside of the regulations. This was finally solved when technology was developed to "lock out" return time travel. The best way to describe it is if someone when back in time and caused a disruption, their activities could be blocked, frozen or negated. It was rudimentary at first, and evidence of early "blockages" are essentially what exist at Roswell.

Eventually they were able to develop a smoother "reset" if things went wrong during time travel and things needed to be altered. In our day to day lives, we would barely be able to perceive it. You just get a sense of "deja vu", which is when you are replanted back into a time sequence and then reset.

Hope that helped.

I'll let you nutjobs argue the finer points of alien abductions

I agree, and I apply this fact to the Kennedy assassination.

Don't be hatin' on my X-files.

I'd say this is the most likely explanation so far.

No, I was an astronomer, funded by NASA. I was on the proverbial "inside". I would have been one of those TENS of THOUSANDS of people that would have kept this secret for DECADES.

If UFOs, aliens, or any such thing has ever visited the planet in the past 150 or so years, I would know about it, and so would everyone else. Astronomers are not known for their ability to keep things quiet...please note the number of times that an emergency press release has been issued over an asteroid going to strike the earth, only to be retracted 12 hours later after someone actually double checks the calcs.
