Wanted: a good PC-based scheduler/task manager
That's NOT Microsoft Outlook. Any suggestions?
I refuse to use Outlook because it has a nasty habit of playing "big brother" with file attachments that people send me and deleting them. Unless it's gotten better as of late (but I tend to doubt it). As such, I've been using Thunderbird (which rocks) for my e-mail client but it's ONLY an e-mail client, not a calendar, task scheduler with reminders, etc. Anyone?

Not sure if it's still around (or if it's what you're looking for), but I used to use "Lotus Notes"...

I'll check - I did use it years ago. Isn't that kind of Lotus' version of the Outlook suite? I'd honestly totally forgotten about it (it's been probably 15 years since I used it)
Unfortunately OpenOffice doesn't even have what I'm looking for. Hmm.

Sunbird. Same OpenSource goodness that is Thunderbird, but it is for calendaring.
