Unique Whips

Is there anyone out there that actually thinks these guys do good work? Who would pay these guys to have a 300 lbs. dash board installed in a sports car? I don't know if I can talk about this without sneaking in some swearing . . . have these people no soul? Do they not know anything besides panel replacement and turning cars into fiberglass-laden tanks? How are they still in business?! And, on top of that, apparently making money? Phew. Had to get that off my chest . . .

Will can ghettoize an SLR! Some 24"s, some big subs, some tacky seat covers and a re-spray dashboard, and a big hug!

And he gets PAID for this! I ought to start "The Unique Dub-N-Donk Factory" here in Atlanta, I'd be rolling in no time!

I don't get it either.

Than again I don't understand jacking-up a 20-year old Caprice Classic so that you can fit 30" rims on it.

And some people can't get driving a 30 year old Nazi car. To each his own.

Cars are like women, we each have our own taste.

But I agree with you. Forget about the style of the car. The 'engineering' (and I use that term broadly) that goes into those things is sad.

It cracks me up how the rip out a dash from a Lambo and set it up outside (no paint booth, just flies, dust and anything else that is blowing around) and then spray paint it canary yellow with Krylon cans from Home Depot.

I like how they used the T wrench to tighten the lug nuts on Tony Stewart's Lambo.

Golly, could you pick and choose your pictures a little better to prove me wrong?

Obviously that car is wrong, but there are some well made donks/SLABs out there, with real build quality. We don't understand them, and they don't understand us. Neither of the groups woulda understood my old offroad rig. BFD. It's all motorsports, and some of us need to get over our elitism.

There was an episode last night with Vida something or other. Dannnnng I'd hit that twice. I felt bad the show sucked but I could not get the peepers off her. They were spray painting the interior trim parts and talking about the perfection of the work. That was laughable.

That Buick is more art than engineering. What the hell does one do with something like that, can it be driven, certainly not on the track. What does one have to pay to get a wheel and tire set-up like that? Has to be much more than the car is worth!!

I may be way to practical but I have a big problem putting more $$ into a car than can be recovered economically. Doesn't make a difference whether it's a Porsche or Buick, just doesn't make any sense, just my opinion.
