Why just one?
|
Yeah, why do they even have multiple buttons to push, with only one cause the poison to flow? I'd think people would be lining up to help out with some executions. I'd be happy to push the button and brag about it later.

I've long maintained that the states are missing out on a sure, money making bet. Sell raffle tickets; the winner gets to shoot the SOB. Bring your own rifle.

That crap makes my stomach turn. I don't care if the guy is a citizen of Mars he still committed a terrible act.
Could you imagine being the Father of that child and having to endure a 15 year long emotional rollercoaster to see if justice will be served because of something as trivial as what the guys citizenship is. Death is to easy of a punishment for that POS! |
If he had pulled that crap in California, he might have had a chance, but Texas? Thats just dumb.

This clown's citizenship is just a last ditch effort to save him from execution. Not that it matters, but he'd lived in USA many years prior to commiting this heinous act (I believe including attending school) And this was never an issue during his trial. Execut him now! We've already wasted enuff money on him. Incorrigible. BTW, I vote for televising the execution.
|
If Texas wanted to make it right, they would throw him a new trial and let him talk to the consulate. Personally, it is a waste of money, since it won't change anything. He will still be executed, nothing is going to change that.
His death sentance is not going to be commuted, no matter what the Chronic blathers. |
Next,
step this way, comfy, smile.pfffffffffffffffffft. next.. |
Just out of curiosity, why is this dirtbag still alive?

He grew up in an impoverished area and never experienced the luxuries the rest of us were blessed with. He has dyslexia. He is bi-polar. he didn't have a father figure. He's just misunderstood. No one has ever taken the time to just sit down and talk to him. that's all the beeding heart excuses i can think of right now. |
Well, Texas has one of the faster systems for Capital Punishment. California finally executed a guy 2 years ago, that commited his crime in 1979!

Not playing Devil's advocate (I too concur he shoulda fried a long time ago), but the treaty we have with Mexico is that they agree to extradite criminals if we agree not to execute them (they do not have the death penalty in Mexico). We can lock 'em up and throw away the key, but not execute.
So, problem arises the next time Mexico captures a fugitive from the US and refuses to extradite because of this case. Mexico could become a "safe haven" for capital criminals. |

Mexico already plays games. if a criminal is in their country and we want to extradite them, we have to promise that we won't execute them. No promise, no extradite. Seems like they don't frown on pre-meditated murder with special circumstances like we do. We can't even cut off the tons of money we give them because they have oil. |
Well, it could work out in our favor. Mexico could become saturated with our (their) criminals, leaving us free of having to house them.

China has it right....convicted, take them out the back door, kneel them down, bullet in the back of the head. Family gets a bill for the expended round.....simple.
