Arnold caves, may approve increase in CA sales tax

Heard this on the radio this morning and I'm still fuming. Arnold says he may agree to a proposal from the democrats in sacramento and allow them to increase the state sales tax another penny. They can kiss my white, hairy butt.
Arnold is on recorde as saying no more taxes. He's said it a hundred times. Now he's caving to the liberals like a *****.

I am so sick of these POS spending our tax dollars like drunk sailors on leave and then saying they need more tax money every year.

A few years ago they duped the people again into voting for another half cent sales tax increase to pay for improving the roads and highways. How much of that money actually has gone to the roads? Almost none. They put in a loophole so the additional revenue goes into the general fund first, so they can spend it on anything they want which in Ca means giving it to crack mommas and more money for teachers top keep em from gonig on strike every fall.

They already have enough money, they just need to stop wasting it.
I wrote to Arnold and called him out and plan to do the same to everyone else involved.

This is sure to be temporary and done to close a "gap". And will be rescinded soon. Not.

I've written to Arnold, both my state legislators, and my state senator about the issue this morning.
It's easy to do and I encourage everyone to do it no matter what the opinion or issue.

Quote:
Dear sir:
I am absolutely opposed to any increase in sales tax, temporary or permanent. We need fiscal responsibility, not more taxes.
The last time we voted for an increase in sales tax it was supposed to go for rebuilding our roads and highways but ended up in the general fund, where it is squandered like the paycheck of a drunk sailor. Yes, we noticed and we are not happy about it.
We need to say no to new taxes, no to irresposible spending, no to automatic increases in entitlements and education.

Well over 1/4 of the children enrolled in public schools in my area are not fluent in english. Throwing money at that problem will not solve it, and raising my taxes will not solve it either.
Please say no to wasteful spending. Please say no to increases in entitlements, and please SAY NO TO MORE TAXES!
Thank you.
If this proposal passes, the democrats will take all that money that's supposed to go to the special reserve fund (estimated to be $15 billion after 3 years) and blow it. Yes, 1% of the sales tax in California is $5 billion a year. They're already getting around 8% a year depending on where you live, that's $40 billion in sales tax they are blowing already. That's more tax revenue that many states get in all taxes. And it's still not enough.

There will be little or nothing left and we'll be stuck with the bill, again.
They'll find some excuse to spend it, I wonder if anyone of them actually have ever tried to balance a checkbook before or do they all just live off of credit cards?

BTW, that poposition B that passed and was supposed to be 1/2 cent going to transportation projects? they stole it and spent it. we passed proposition 42 which stole it back, saying that they had to spend the money on transportation. they didn't like that so they suspended prop 42. I guess what the voters say and think doesn't matter at all when it comes to interfering with their spending. Even if we say no they can still say yes.

Need I say this again? Deport all illegal aliens, and we could probably actually lower the sales tax with the budget surplus we would have... Sure, it would probably cost $5 billion to do this, but we would end up saving $30 billion a year (Nationally.) You have to spend money to save money on this one...

Hurray for the Govenator... Ohhh stop yer complainin...look at where you live by the beach in nice sunny So CAL. What is another penny to you rich white boys....he11 lets just raise it by another 2 cents that oughta cover expenses for awhile. A 101/4% sales tax is not the end of the world.

BTW there are a few real nice houses left in nice and sunny LV..but they won't last long if Arnold gives in. Soooo Hurry on over before it is tooo late now, ya hear.

Oh yeah there is NO STATE INCOME TAX in NV, property taxes are on par with CA. Sales tax is about 8% in Clark County and less in others.

Wow, Las Vegas sounds pretty good. How hot does it get there in the summer? how cold does it get there in the winter? Does it ever get windy? How hard is it to grow a decent lawn?

Well it sounds like you are totally happy with where you are at, so why should I give away all the great secrets about LV.
