We all inflated our tires so the demand went down.

When our tires go flat the prices will go back up.

What drop? There is not a drop when compared against historic seasonal prices.

Who are the speculators?

Could these people be the middle east countries running up the price for their own benefit. They could start the run up, get others to continue and when they get near to their preceived top "bail out"

Lowest around here that I've seen: $3.48 (Loves Truck stop on I-10). One down the street is $3.55, but they don't sell an honest gallon.

There was a station that had a sign up for $3.39 in Del Rio, but I can't believe it was true.

Yes, they could and that topic has been brought up here before.
